Auch wenn ich dich nicht mehr sehen kann,
ich weiß, du bist nur nebenan,
in dieser Welt, die anders ist,
doch als du fortgegangen bist,

wurde mir das Herz so schwer
ich weinte mir die Augen leer,
konnt die Schmerzen kaum ertragen,
vermisste dich an allen Tagen.

Ich hörte, was du sprachst im Traum-
du wechselst einfach nur den Raum,
in dem man dich nicht sehen kann,
wo jeder hingeht, irgendwann...

Nicht sichtbar, aber wohl für immer,
bist du nun in diesem Zimmer...
Manchmal knarren leis die Türen
und ich kann den Windhauch spüren,

dann wird sie leichter, diese Last,
weil du mich nie verlassen hast,
zu jeder Zeit, zu allen Stunden,
sind wir seelisch tief verbunden.

Der Tod, das durfte ich erkennen,
wird was sich liebte niemals trennen,
wird was sich liebte nie vertreiben
und mit der Liebe wirst du bleiben,

hier bei mir und zwar für immer,
nebenan, in diesem Zimmer,
ich hab erkannt, in all dem Schmerz,

I came across a picture

The tears just  started falling,
but I couldn't turn away.

I closed my eyes and I was there,

Dear Mr. Hallmark,

I am writing to you from heaven,
and though it must appear
A rather strange idea,
I see everything from here.

I just popped in to visit,
your stores to find a card
A card of love for my mother,
as this day for her is hard.

There must be some mistake I thought,
every card you could imagine
Except I could not find a card,
from a child who lives in heaven.

She is still a mother too,
no matter where I reside
I had to leave, she understands,
but oh the tears she’s cried.

I thought that if I wrote you,
that you would come to know
That though I live in heaven now,
I still love my mother so.

She talks with me, and dreams with me;
we still share laughter too,
Memories our way of speaking now,
would you see what you could do?

My mother carries me in her heart,
her tears she hides from sight.
She writes poems to honor me,
sometimes far into the night.

She plants flowers in my garden,
there my living memory dwells
She writes to other grieving parents,
trying to ease their pain as well.

So you see Mr. Hallmark,
though I no longer live on earth
I must find a way,
to remind her of her wondrous worth

She needs to be honored,
and remembered too
Just as the children of earth will do.

I have done all I can do;

Grief's Rollercoaster

You break down and cry ... you feel sad, its hard to fight the
peaks and valleys you're facing. Then one day, you wipe your
eyes, stand again and move forward once more  ... baby step
by baby step. You learn how to smile for others ... but it  is
always there (the sorrow) ... always lurking just around each
corner ... you learn how to hide from it, to avoid those twists
and turns. You want everyone to believe that everything is
ok ... but it's not ... it's not ok. It's a rollercoaster of emotions
where you slowly start to feel better, and then, all of a sudden
you crash again. You rise and fall again and again, and you
cautiously wait ... knowing grief will keep revisting you, and you
must be ready for the next twist or turn and rise from each fall.

Die Farben der Trauer 

Meine Trauer ist rot für die Unruhe in mir.
Meine Trauer ist blau für die Einsamkeit,
die Leere und alle ungestillten Sehnsüchte.
Meine Trauer ist schwarz für die Verzweiflung
und den Abgrund in meiner Seele.
Meine Trauer ist braun für das Ringen
um Boden unter meinen Füßen.
Meine Trauer ist gelb für alle Schätze,
die mir dennoch zuteil werden,
für das Licht, das immer wieder für mich scheint und für die Menschen, die die Sonne zu mir bringen. 
Meine Trauer ist grün für die Hoffnung,
die Zuversicht und das Wissen darum,
dass es immer weiter geht.
Meine Trauer ist weiß für alle Schutzengel,
die mich an der Hand halten,
mich trösten und Balsam meiner Seele sind

Hallo lieber Mensch da unten,
du hast noch keine Ruh' gefunden,
ich seh' dass du schon wieder weinst
und kaum mehr Kraft zu haben scheinst.

Das tut mir so unendlich leid,
drum bin ich gerne nun bereit,
dir ein wenig Trost zu schicken...
Vielleicht magst du nach oben blicken...

Kannst du diese Stufen seh'n,
die bis in tiefste Sphären geh'n,
die alle Seelen dorthin führen,
wo sie nie mehr Leid verspüren...?

Werde still und lass dich fall'n,
wenn Welten aufeinander prall'n...
Meine wird in deine fließen,
Komm, lass uns jetzt die Zeit genießen...

Gedanklich eng zusammen sein...
mög' es dich vom Schmerz befrei'n...
ich male dir ein Wolkenbild,
welches deine Sehnsucht stillt.

Spürst du wie der Wind sich hebt,
wenn mein Kleid, aus Licht gewebt,
sanft um deine Augen schwingt
und dir meinen Frieden bringt...?

Dieser Frieden soll dich lenken,
dir lichtvolle Momente schenken,
solang bis du dir sicher bist,
dass Sterben nicht das Ende ist...

Wahres Sterben kann's nur geben,
wenn Seelen nicht mehr weiterleben,
in den Herzen ihrer Lieben...
Aber ich bin doch geblieben...

Weil du mich liebst, so wie ich dich,
für alle Zeiten...ewiglich...
Schau nach oben...weit und weiter,
ich sitze auf der Himmelsleiter,

und erfreu mich an den Stunden,
in denen du zurück gefunden,

Hallo lieber Mensch da unten,
ich seh dich weinen, manche Stunden,
seh die Trauer, all die Tränen,
drum möchte ich hier und jetzt erwähnen,

mein Erdenkleid, ich zog es aus,
weil ich's nicht brauche, hier, Zuhaus,
DOCH TROTZDEM BIN ICH DIR GANZ NAH,
IN DEINEM HERZEN IMMER DA.

Ich zähle wahrlich jeden Schlag,
glaub mir, wenn ich sag,
nur jener, den man nicht vermisst,
in Wahrheit auch gestorben ist.

UND WEIL ICH DIR IM LEBEN FEHLE,
BIN ICH TEIL VON DEINER SEELE,

NIEMALS LASS ICH DICH ALLEIN.

Versteh, ich bin doch nur Zuhaus,
ich ging nicht fort, nein nur voraus,
ich ging dorthin, wo's einst begann,
wo wir uns treffen ... irgendwann.

Nun leb, weil's doch nichts Schön'res gibt,
ich hab das Leben auch geliebt,
lächle wieder ... Schritt für Schritt,

NICHTS UND NIEMAND KANN UNS TRENNEN,
